Sprint Becomes Title Sponsor of Ski Press Weekly News

SSPWN is now Cornerstone of Sprint SnowZone & produced in association with Egan Entertainment Network

Laguna Beach, CA (Ski Press) - In a blockbuster sponsorship-and-distribution deal, communications giant Sprint Nextel has become the title sponsor of the Ski Press Weekly News.

Now in its third year, the Sprint Ski Press Weekly News (SSPWN) starring Amy Quigley is a 3-minute weekly news segment that delivers cutting-edge news and information about the world of Alpine sports. SSPWN will become a cornerstone of the content offered on Sprint’s Snow Zone.v

Sprint Snow Zone is exclusive wireless site that allows users to get the information they crave. That includes the latest weather and snow conditions at their favorite resorts, and video clips of tips and tricks from gold-medal athletes. Among those athletes is freestyle skier Jonny Moseley, known for pushing moguls skiing to the limits, and snowboarder Seth Wescott, who won the first snowboardcross gold medal.

Beginning mid-November 2007, all SnowZone content, including the Sprint Ski Press Weekly News, will be available to Sprint PCS Vision® and Sprint Power VisionSM pack subscribers free of charge. It can be accessed via the Vision or Power Vision home deck or by texting SNOW to 7777.

More than 51 million Sprint and Nextel subscribers can now stay in touch with snow industry news from anywhere they use their phones.
